New Polianka is a recreational settlement situated at the "Way of Freedom" between Tatranské Matliare and Tatranská Kotlina, right at a bottom of the Gerlachovský Pinnacle between Vyšné Hágy and Tatranská Polianka.
It was founded shortly after the World War 2 according to the project of Milan Harminec, an architect from Bratislava. Since 1956 it has been using as a modern military healing settlement.
