Ostrva (1926 m) is a large peak situated at the end of the south-western side comb of the Končistá Peak. Tatranská magistrála, which is the main marked tourist path traversing the whole Tatra mountains, goes though the saddle bellow Ostrva. It is a point with a wonderful view at Mengusovská Valley and Zlomiská.
Legal as well as illegal hunters knew the slopes of Ostrva very well. Tourists have visited it since 1875, in winter since 1891. The Ungarn-Carpatian Association built the first marked tourist path from Vyšné Hágy in 1886. Current magistrála was built in 1930 - 1931.
In a limba-pine grove at the bottom of Ostrva, there you can find a symbolic cemetery devoted to people who worked and tragically died in the High Tatras.
