Dolina Zeleného plesa (The Green Mountain-lake Valley)

Thanks to the chalet at the Green Mountain-lake (board and lodging), easy access for tourists and also thanks to impressive panorama of peaks and valleys in the surroundings, this valley is maybe the most visited in the High Tatras. You will be impressed by the 900 m high northern side of the Malý Kežmarský štít (Small Kežmarský Peak), or the slender peak Jastrabia veža (Hawk Tower).
The main tourist path connects the valley with the Skalnatá dolina (Rocky Valley) and the White Mountain-lakes Valley. A yellow marked tourist path (secured with chains) will lead you through the side-valley Červená dolinka (Red Small Valley) up to the Jahňací štít (Lamb Peak), but you should keep in mind that you have to return the same way. You would have a breathtaking view at the eastern part of the High Tatras and the Belianske Tatras panorama.
The history of the valley is full of stories about treasure seekers, miners and interesting tourist events (the very first documented visit of the valley was in 1565).

STARTING POINT: Tatranská Lomnica (yellow and blue marked path), Tatranské Matliare (yellow and blue marked path), the bus stop Biela Voda (White Water) - yellow and blue marked path.
