This chalet (2250 m above the sea) has the highest elevation from the chalets in the
High Tatras. It is open only during the summer season (from May till October). It was built in the right part of the
Mengusovská Valley, bellow Váha. It is situated on a frequently used path leading to the
Rysy peak.

Already since the end of the 19-th century it had been spoken about the need to build a chalet in this area. Because of the financial and technical troubles, the plan was realised only in 1932.

To originally only one floor building the second floor was added in 1977.

The responsible authority for the cottage is Viktor Beránek.
